Alexis Percival is a New York City based CMS certified sommelier, consultant and event planner who puts the art in party. In addition to being WSET Level 3 certified and Vine Pair’s Sommelier of the Year in 2021, her wine experience covers a broad spectrum of the hospitality business. A Managing Partner & Owner of Ruffian Wine Bar and Kindred in the East Village, her business acumen plays out both on and off the restaurant floor. Previously, she was the owner of a Chilean wine importing company and long time bartender at Lelabar in the West Village.
Alexis currently works with restaurant groups and hotels to build profitable and unique wine lists drawing from her experience with boutique importers. Services also include operations, openings, staff training and more. Recent clients include: The Monarch San Antonio, King, Jupiter, Steak Frites, Hotel Lucine and more.
Alexis is also an event producer, helping create Amber Georgia, a first-of-its-kind wine fair celebrating natural amber wines from the Republic of Georgia.
She has organized wine classes and produced themed wine and food dinners for over a decade. Alexis believes her main objective is providing guests with an adventure that takes them a step out of their everyday life.
